In the summer months an outdoor ceremony features pretty high on our couple’s wedding vision. We have a choice of beautiful settings in the gardens and grounds to exchange vows. The perfectly manicured lawn to the front of the house has picture postcard vistas, simply stunning. Adventure into the orchard to discover our charmingly rustic wooden summerhouse, or go deeper into the woods and delight upon our ancient folly. Unique settings that your guests will remember and talk about for years to come.
If you’re not local to Scotland you may be wondering when the summer season actually begins. Our beautiful country has a reputation for rather unpredictable weather, some would even say ‘four seasons in one day’. In truth, the weather can be glorious in April and May, though from June onwards the weather is consistently milder. August landscapes are magical, as the heather changes colour the hills turn an incredible shade of purple. September can be cooler, though often drier. We can’t guarantee the sun will be splitting the sky, however, we can guarantee an incredible setting.
Summer is the perfect season to blend vibrant colours into your wedding theme. Think bright striking wedding flowers, plentiful centrepieces, your aisle strewn with pretty petals, or create a stunning floral staircase if you choose to hold the ceremony in the house.
